FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Five military service members remain in the hospital recovering from injuries sustained in an explosion at Fort Bragg.
Half of the 10 people injured in Monday’s blast have been released from the hospital.
Military officials have refused to release the names of those who were injured or provide detailed descriptions of the injuries. Staff Sgt. Jayson Price of the 2nd Marine Division says there are several ongoing investigations to determine the cause of the incident.
The explosion occurred inside a howitzer during live-fire exercises at Fort Bragg. The service members were all based at Camp Lejeune and included eight Marines and two Navy personnel.
